You can apply for a grant if you are a farmer or horticulturalist in England.
The grant can pay to reduce your farm's environmental impact resulting in a positive contribution to net zero and greenhouse gas reduction.
The solar PV system must be for farm power and installed on farm buildings or an irrigation reservoir. It is the farmer's responsibility to ensure the roof is suitable to support solar panels.
Any excess solar energy can be stored in a battery or batteries. The system can also be connected to export surplus energy back to the National Grid.
Eligible items include:
solar PV panels
solar batteries
inverters
utility meter
electrical grid connection
power diverter
Items not eligible include:

If your application for a grant is only for solar PV equipment, the minimum grant you can apply for is £15,000, the maximum grant is £100,000.
